A Note from Michelle Anderson
Hello  !

Welcome to the Clarinet Mentors newsletter. I am so pleased to be part of this great worldwide community of clarinetists that includes you.

This newsletter comes fairly soon after my last one. I have a very busy playing schedule over the next couple of weeks, so I wanted to get this to you early since I think it has valuable information. Today's video includes an often-requested video (thanks for the suggestions) on how to choose a clarinet mouthpiece. I hope this is helpful to you. If you are playing on a basic beginner mouthpiece, you might be amazed at the difference this can make in your playing.

I had also sent out a note earlier this week offering an early-bird special on my just-released Faster Clarinet Fingers course. If you register by tonight (and I will extend this 24 hours to accommodate different time zones as this final reminder goes out), you will be entered to win one of three private clarinet lessons with me. I love meeting people one-on-one (either in person, or via computer) and rarely have time to do it. This is your chance to qualify. If you have already purchased the Better Clarinet Tone course, check the last page for a special coupon for you on the new Fingers course.

I'm off to practise for opera, chamber music and to film a bunch more videos for the Clarinet Mentors Community!

Thanks for being a part of my community!
Free Training: How To Choose The Best Clarinet Mouthpiece For You - This can make a HUGE difference in your playing!
Many people have written to me asking for advice on clarinet mouthpieces. I think the mouthpiece makes a huge difference to how easy it feels to play our clarinet, and also to the sound that we produce. A better mouthpiece is usually the first piece of gear that I recommend to my students when they are ready to upgrade their setup.

The truth is that every person has a very different mouth shape, and plays on different clarinets. There is no one mouthpiece that works best for everyone. You need to find one that really sounds good, feels good, and works well on your equipment. Having said that, I am happy to give you some recommendations in this video so that you know where to start, and what you should look for if you are testing out new mouthpieces.

How To Solve Your Common Clarinet Frustrations and Play Clarinet More Easily

I firmly believe that if anyone has the "recipe" for how to play clarinet, things are really relatively easy to do. Most of our frustrations come from inadvertently learning bad habits along the way. With that in mind, I have created for you a 10-lesson comprehensive course for beginners (and self-taught intermediate players) that gives you the tools to truly learn the clarinet easily, while avoiding all of the most common frustrations that can plague us. I believe that these lessons can save you hours of grief by giving you the best practise systems that have worked for thousands of clarinetists. The lessons have great content, and are presented in a video format so that you can watch them again and again. If you would like to play with more ease and have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of clarinet playing, you can get more information on the Clarinet Is Easy course here (including some free preview videos):

If you are curious about this, you can try these lessons with a 100% 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee. (That means that you can try a full 5 lessons before you decide if you have received great value from the course.) If it is not the right style for you, you get your tuition refunded, no problem. I invite you to try it now! Many students have received amazing results so far from this course (and you can read their comments on the order page).
